The volunteer Fire Captains serve their neighborhood in each the 16 RTG Fire Safety Divisions. These positions are critical for both improving the wildfire resistance of each individual home and assisting in emergency evacuation. More volunteers are always needed and if any resident would like to join, please send a request to: input@rtghoa.org

The requirements for Captains are:

  • Attend the annual group training meeting
  • Attend an actual RTG home wildfire inspection hosted by Monterey County FD
  • Pass out annual Firewise document package to each resident in their Division
  • Inspection of each home with resident
  • Collect and turn in Firewise documents
  • Most important: prepared to assist everyone in their Division in case of a wildfire
